This is the itinerary we recommend when time is tight and expectations are high. Two nights at anchor inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site, five to seven landmark stops, and no wasted hours — the boat repositions while you sleep, so every daylight hour is spent hiking, swimming or watching wildlife. Day-by-Day: Komodo 3 Day 2 Night Liveaboard

Day 1 — Bali to Labuan Bajo, Kelor Island and the Kalong Sunset

Fly out of Bali in the morning; ninety minutes later you descend over a scatter of green islands into Labuan Bajo. Our team meets you at the airport, transfers you to the harbour, and the crew welcomes you aboard with a light lunch as the boat clears the bay.

First stop is Kelor Island, a small cone with a short, steep trail to a viewpoint over turquoise shallows — an ideal first swim and snorkel. As the light softens, the boat repositions to Kalong Island, where thousands of flying foxes stream out of the mangroves at sunset, one of the park’s most reliable wildlife spectacles. Dinner is served on deck at anchor.

Day 2 — Padar Sunrise, Pink Beach, Komodo Dragons and Manta Point

An early alarm earns the best view in the park. The tender lands you at Padar Island before dawn for the 30–40 minute walk up to the ridge, where three crescent bays — one white-sand, one grey, one rose-tinted — spread out beneath the sunrise. Breakfast waits on board.

Mid-morning brings Pink Beach, its sand blushed by fragments of red coral, with calm reef snorkelling just off the shore. After lunch you land on Komodo Island itself for a ranger-guided walk in Loh Liang, where Komodo dragons are frequently seen along the trails, conditions permitting — always at a respectful distance, always with rangers leading.

The day closes at Manta Point, a shallow cleaning station where reef mantas gather to be groomed by smaller fish. Snorkellers drift above them with a guide; sightings are frequent year-round, strongest from December to February, and never guaranteed — this is the wild, and that is the point.

Day 3 — Taka Makassar Sandbar, Siaba Besar Turtles and Return

The final morning starts on Taka Makassar, a crescent of white sand barely above the tide line, surrounded by knee-deep turquoise — fifteen unforgettable minutes of having a sandbar almost to yourselves. If time and tides allow, the crew adds a last snorkel at Siaba Besar, a gentle, sandy-bottomed bay where green turtles graze and beginners feel completely at ease.

The boat is back alongside in Labuan Bajo by mid-morning. Guests either transfer to the airport for an afternoon flight to Bali or stay on to explore the town — we simply ask for your onward plans when booking so the last day is paced correctly.

Life on Board

Short does not mean spartan. Cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, meals are cooked fresh on board around your preferences, and snorkelling equipment, tenders, park guides and drinking water are part of every departure. Evenings belong to the sundeck — the park has almost no light pollution, and the stars behave accordingly.
