Our Komodo Cruise Fleet

Home › Fleet

Our Komodo fleet spans five classes — traditional luxury phinisi, modern superyachts and motor yachts, stable catamarans, deluxe liveaboard phinisi and fully private charter phinisi — our own and partner vessels, operated to one standard with Komodo Luxury (Juara group). Fly Bali to Labuan Bajo in about 90 minutes, then board for 3–10 days in Komodo National Park.

One Fleet, One Standard

Every vessel we place in Komodo — whether it belongs to our own fleet or to a long-term partner — is operated to one standard with Komodo Luxury (Juara group). That means the same vetting for hull condition, safety equipment and crew certification, the same service training, and the same day-by-day cruise planning behind your Bali Komodo liveaboard.

Capacity, cabin layout and on-board equipment vary by vessel and are confirmed per boat before you book. What never varies is the promise: a private-feeling voyage through a UNESCO World Heritage Site, run by specialists who sail these waters every week.

Choose Your Class

Five classes cover every travel style. Each page explains who the class suits, how life on board feels, and the routes it runs.

Luxury Phinisi

Hand-built Sulawesi sailing yachts finished to boutique-hotel standard — the most romantic way to cruise Komodo under sail.

Superyacht & Motor Yacht

Speed, stabilised comfort and air-conditioned interiors — cover more of the park in fewer days, with ex-Benoa crossings on request.

Catamaran

Twin-hull stability and shallow draft — a steady, sociable platform that families and first-time cruisers love.

Deluxe Liveaboard Phinisi

Comfort-focused phinisi built for divers and explorers — the smart value route into multi-day Komodo cruising.

Private Charter Phinisi

The whole boat, your itinerary, your pace — full-vessel charters for families, friends and celebrations.

How to Choose the Right Boat

  • Couples & honeymooners — a luxury phinisi under sail is the classic choice; see our honeymoon cruise planning page.
  • Families & groups — private charter keeps the schedule flexible and the boat yours alone; start with family and group charters.
  • Short on time — a motor yacht compresses distances, ideal for a long-weekend Bali to Komodo cruise.
  • Divers — deluxe liveaboard phinisi run the diving-focused routes, from Batu Bolong to the northern pinnacles.
  • Style-first sailors — compare classes here, then read how phinisi sailing from Bali actually works.

Where the Fleet Sails

All classes run the heart of Komodo National Park — Padar’s ridge viewpoint, Pink Beach, the dragons of Komodo and Rinca with rangers, Manta Point and the sunset flying foxes of Kalong Island. Browse all itineraries from three to ten days, or jump straight to the popular 4-day, 3-night liveaboard.

Most voyages begin in Labuan Bajo after the short flight from Bali — see our departure logistics guide. Full crossings from Benoa Harbour are available on request on suitable vessels; for inclusions and quoting, see packages & pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many boats are in the fleet?

We operate our own vessels plus a vetted partner fleet, all run to one standard with Komodo Luxury (Juara group). Rather than pushing one boat, our specialists match your dates, group size and style to the vessels genuinely available, then confirm capacity and layout per boat.

Which class is best for a first Komodo cruise?

Most first-time guests choose a luxury phinisi for the classic sailing experience, or a deluxe liveaboard phinisi for value on longer routes. If seasickness or a tight schedule worries you, a stabilised motor yacht or twin-hull catamaran is the more forgiving platform.

Are all charters private?

Both options exist. Private charter gives you the whole vessel and a flexible route; selected phinisi also run shared cabin-basis departures on set dates. Tell us your preference and we will shortlist accordingly — private is the default for families, honeymoons and celebrations.

Do the boats have air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms?

Yes — across our luxury classes, cabins are air-conditioned with private ensuite bathrooms. Exact cabin sizes, bed configurations and guest capacity vary by vessel and are confirmed per boat, with photos and deck plans shared before you commit to anything.

Can we board in Bali instead of Labuan Bajo?

Most itineraries board in Labuan Bajo after a roughly 90-minute flight from Bali, which maximises time inside the park. Full ex-Benoa crossings are possible on request on suitable vessels — typically motor yachts and larger phinisi — and suit guests who love long sea days.
