Komodo Cruise Itineraries

Home › Komodo Cruise Itineraries

Komodo liveaboard itineraries run from 3 to 10 days out of Labuan Bajo, a roughly 90-minute flight from Bali. Shorter cruises cover Padar, Pink Beach and the Komodo dragons; longer routes add the northern and southern dive regions. Every itinerary below can be tailored to your dates, group and pace.

Every route here is sailed by our own and partner fleet, operated to one standard with Komodo Luxury (Juara group). You fly from Bali, board in Labuan Bajo, and wake up inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting from scratch? Our Bali Komodo liveaboard page explains how the whole journey fits together.

How Our Routes Are Planned

Komodo National Park splits naturally into three sailing regions. The central islands — Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo and Rinca — hold the famous viewpoints and the dragons, and fit within three to four days. The north adds current-swept pinnacles such as Castle Rock and Crystal Rock. The south, around Horseshoe Bay, rewards longer cruises with cool-water soft coral gardens, best in the April–September dry season.

Every itinerary is a template, not a script. Our specialists adjust the running order daily around tides, currents and ranger guidance, and each departure is matched to a vessel from our fleet — from intimate sailing phinisi to full private charters. Browse our destinations and dive sites to see what each stop offers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many days do you need for a Komodo liveaboard?

Three days covers the icons — Padar, Pink Beach, the dragons and Manta Point. Four to five days is the most comfortable fit for first-time visitors, adding northern viewpoints and more water time. Divers and photographers should plan six days or more to reach the park’s outer regions properly.

Do all itineraries start in Labuan Bajo?

Yes — every route on this page embarks and disembarks in Labuan Bajo, about 90 minutes by air from Bali with several airlines flying daily. Full crossings departing Benoa Harbour in Bali can be arranged on request for guests who prefer to sail the whole way.

Can an itinerary be customised?

Completely. These pages show our proven templates, but on a private charter the route, pace and daily rhythm are yours to shape. Even on shared departures, crews fine-tune the order of stops around weather, tides and ranger advice, so no two sailings run exactly alike.

Are Komodo cruises private or shared?

Both formats exist across our own and partner fleet, operated to one standard with Komodo Luxury (Juara group). Shorter itineraries offer scheduled shared cabins as well as full-boat charters; longer expeditions are usually chartered privately. Capacity varies by vessel and is confirmed per boat when you enquire.
