Where should I start planning a Komodo liveaboard?

Start with dates and duration: read our how-many-days guide, shortlist an itinerary between three and ten days, then match a boat class from the fleet. Send us your dates and group size and our specialists confirm availability, route and a transparent quote — usually within a day.

When is the best time of year for a Komodo cruise?

The April–September dry season brings the calmest seas, best visibility and reliable trekking weather. Manta rays are present year-round, with strong sightings at some sites from December to February, conditions permitting. Shoulder months offer quieter anchorages, while southern dive sites are at their best in the dry season.

Do I need to be a diver to enjoy a Komodo liveaboard?

How do I get from Bali to the boat?

Most guests fly Bali to Labuan Bajo in about 90 minutes — several airlines fly daily — then board in the harbour the same morning. Full ocean crossings from Benoa Harbour are available on request on suitable vessels. Our departure logistics guide walks through both options step by step.

How far ahead should I book?

For July–August and holiday dates, three to six months ahead secures the widest choice of vessels; shoulder-season trips can often be arranged closer in. Private charters need more lead time than cabin bookings because the whole vessel, route and crew are planned around your group.
